Maltese Keyboard

"Finally", an easy to use Maltese Keyboard solution, which will give you the characters Ċ ċ Ġ ġ Ħ ħ Ż ż.

Just follow these instructions and you'll get Maltese characters at the press of the "AltGR" + key.

UK Keyboards seem to be the default keyboard layout supplied in Malta. ( £ sign on number 3). So, we customised it a little. We programmed the AltGr key to give you a Maltese character instead of the normal c, g, h, and z.

Installation Instructions

  1. Make sure you actually have a UK keyboard. Look for the £ sign on the number 3. If you don't have this, then your keyboard is not UK English. Its probably US English keyboard which does not have the AltGR key which required to allow additional character options.
  2. Make sure you have a version of windows from 2000 onwards.
  3. Download the KeyboardMaltaUK.zip file from here.
  4. Double click on it to open it.
  5. Double click on the setup file which will install the new keyboard layout.
  6. Go to Control Panel, "Regional Settings"
  7. Remove the Old keyboard as shown below
